SETIT Privacy Policy

Scope This policy describes SETIT's treatment of personal information used to provide its homeowner–contractor marketplace, project records, consultations and transaction support.

Allowed purposes SETIT uses personal information only to provide, operate, support, secure and improve SETIT. This includes delivering account and project features, communications, identity and contractor qualification functions, signed agreements, consultation scheduling, payment and contractor-invoice records, fraud prevention and service support. Information may be handled as necessary to comply with applicable law.

No sale or resale SETIT does not sell or resell personal information. Project contact information is not authorized for unrelated solicitation, resale or data brokerage.

Project and service sharing Information may be shared with the matched homeowner and contractor as needed to perform the project, and with service providers to operate, support and secure SETIT, subject to applicable privacy requirements. The contractor ordinarily collects construction funds itself; SETIT collects posting and consultation fees and receives contractor invoice payments.

Security and records SETIT applies reasonable safeguards and preserves agreements, transaction evidence and legally required records. Requests concerning personal information are handled as required by applicable law. The platform's actual operation and service-provider practices must not contradict this policy.
