SETIT Electronic Records and Signature Consent
Separate electronic consent Consumers must affirmatively consent to the electronic records and signature process by a deliberate, separate action; using the site alone does not constitute consent. The electronic records made available include platform terms, contractor-supplied construction terms, legally required notices, the final project construction agreement and transaction acknowledgments as applicable.
Access and recordkeeping The platform provides the final documents for review and an effective means to retain copies. It captures the version presented, consent event, identity/authentication evidence, signature event and executed agreement for each party. Consumers retain any legally required right to paper records and withdrawal of electronic-record consent, with applicable required disclosures given before consent.
Signature order and final version The contractor signs the completed final construction agreement first, and the homeowner signs the identical version second. Any material edit after the first signature invalidates reliance on that signature for the revised version and requires both parties to sign again. Both parties receive the executed agreement.
Funding is separate Agreement signing and electronic-record consent do not authorize construction funding or a SETIT ACH debit. The contractor ordinarily receives construction funding directly. SETIT's remaining 9% invoice is generated only after both signatures and verified successful initial funding, not upon e-signature alone.
