SETIT Contractor Code of Conduct and Termination

Professional conduct Contractors must describe qualifications, availability, price, materials, limitations and required credentials accurately. They may not discriminate or harass, mislead homeowners, fabricate reviews, threaten homeowners, pressure waiver of legal rights, or use high-pressure sales tactics for future projects or change orders.

Worksite and project standards Contractors are responsible for lawful and safe work, permits, workforce supervision, workmanship, agreed milestones, project records, inspections and warranties. Scope or price changes require the homeowner's signed agreement where applicable. Contractors must respect homeowner property and privacy.

Payments and information Contractors normally collect construction payments directly from the homeowner and document actual initial funding. They may not conceal a materially similar project or outside payment to avoid an earned SETIT fee, misuse private project data, or use customer contacts for unrelated solicitation without authorization. Legitimate direct construction payments are permitted.

Enforcement and termination SETIT may suspend or terminate contractor participation at any time, for cause or without cause, consistent with applicable law. Termination does not erase confidentiality, an earned contractor invoice, or any existing homeowner reimbursement obligations.
