SETIT Posting, Payment Methods and Checkout Disclosures
Posting payment Before the homeowner authorizes the posting charge, show the accepted fixed project price and the 1% SETIT posting payment. The 1% is part of, not in addition to, SETIT's total included 10% fee and is credited toward the homeowner's agreed project price. This posting payment is not charged again when a contractor accepts.
Construction balance and contractor invoice Before signing, show the accepted project price, the paid 1% posting credit, the remaining project construction amount payable by the homeowner directly to the contractor under the signed payment schedule, and SETIT's total included 10% fee. Explain that SETIT will invoice the contractor—not the homeowner—for the remaining 9% only after both parties sign the same final agreement and initial construction funding has actually been successfully received by the contractor and verified. A contractor's acceptance or signature alone does not earn the fee.
Scope of SETIT collection SETIT collects directly from homeowners only the 1% posting payment and separate consultation fees. The contractor ordinarily collects construction funds directly from the homeowner. SETIT separately receives payments from contractors for earned 9% invoices. SETIT does not automatically hold, escrow, deduct or release construction funds and does not charge a separate homeowner 9% fee.
ACH, debit and credit methods Contractor invoices may be paid by an independently authorized ACH payment. SETIT absorbs the standard ACH processing cost, including the presently budgeted $5 standard processing expense, without passing it to the contractor as an added fee. Debit cards may be accepted for posting and consultation fees only, with debit-card processing cost absorbed by SETIT; debit is not accepted through SETIT for construction payments or contractor invoice payment. Credit-card surcharges are used only where legally and payment-network permitted and accurately disclosed. An optional SETIT construction-card collection channel is not part of the approved normal payment model and must remain inactive unless separately approved.
Accurate ledger and acknowledgments The displayed transaction record keeps the paid posting credit, contractor-collected construction payments, earned SETIT fee and contractor invoice separate. Electronic acknowledgments record the terms shown and accepted; no second fee, double credit, unauthorized automatic ACH debit or invoice based solely on a funding authorization is permitted.
